This interactive learning page covers all 40 fundamental Hangul characters, including 19 consonants and 21 vowels, the complete foundation of the Korean writing system.
Three browsing tabs are available for flexible learning:
- Consonants: Separates 14 basic consonants and 5 double consonants for targeted practice.
- Vowels: Organizes 10 basic vowels and 11 compound vowels to distinguish vowel variations.
- Full List: Displays all 40 characters together for comprehensive review.
Each character is presented inside an independent visual card. Every card contains three layers of reference information: the original Hangul symbol, standard Romanized spelling, and simple phonetic hints to help beginners master pronunciation.
Click any character card to trigger native Korean audio pronunciation powered by the browser’s Web Speech API. The active card will display visual animation feedback while playing audio, so users can clearly identify which character is being pronounced.
The page adopts a responsive dark-themed layout, automatically adapting to desktop, tablet and mobile screens. Learners can practice single categories separately or review all characters at once, helping them efficiently memorize the full set of Korean basic phonetics.
