Chinese For Beginners (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) is a fully offline Chinese learning application available for Windows desktop and Windows devices, providing Pinyin learning, Chinese character recognition, knowledge testing, and real human voice pronunciation functions. This Privacy Policy clearly explains how we handle user data and privacy information when you use the App. This policy applies to all versions of Chinese For Beginners software released on the Microsoft Store.
1. No Account Registration & No Login Required
The App does not require any user registration, account login, password setup, or identity authentication. Users can access all core functions directly after installation. We do not collect, create, or bind any user account information, and there is no user identity system in the App.
2. Fully Offline Operation, No Network Data Transmission
Chinese For Beginners is designed as a completely offline application. All core functions including Pinyin display, Chinese character browsing, learning tests, and real human voice audio playback run 100% locally on your device. The App will not automatically connect to the Internet, upload, download, or transmit any user data in any form. No background network access is triggered during use.
3. No Collection of Personal Information
We strictly do not collect any personal identifiable information, including but not limited to user name, avatar, phone number, email address, location information, device information, browsing records, learning logs, and other private data. All learning operations and test records are only stored temporarily in the local memory of your device and will not be synchronized or transmitted to any server, third-party platform or our developers.
4. Local Data Storage
Partial local cache data generated during your use of the App (such as local function configuration preferences) is only saved on your local device and is exclusively controlled by you. The local data will be completely cleared after you uninstall the App or clear the local application cache. We have no access to any local data generated by users.
5. No Third-Party Services & No Advertising
The App does not integrate any third-party SDKs, third-party statistical tools, advertising plugins, tracking tools or analysis services. We will not share, sell or lease any user information to third parties. There is no personalized recommendation, user tracking or data analysis behavior in this App.
6. Audio Voice Function Privacy Statement
The real human voice pronunciation function of the App is based on built-in offline audio resources. All voice playback is completed locally on the device. The App does not record user voice, does not access your device microphone, and will not collect or process any audio information of users.
7. Security Protection
Since the App does not collect or transmit any user personal data, there is no risk of personal information leakage, disclosure or network theft. All software operations are limited to the local device, which fully protects your personal privacy and data security.
8. Privacy Policy Updates
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally to adapt to software function optimization and platform specification requirements. The updated policy will be displayed on the Microsoft Store product page or within the latest version of the App. Continued use of the App after the update indicates your recognition and acceptance of the revised privacy policy.
