This Privacy Policy describes how the JapaneseKana mobile application (“the App”) handles user data and privacy. Please read this policy carefully before using the App.

JapaneseKana is a free offline application for learning Japanese Hiragana, Katakana, Dakuon and Youon. No registration, login or account creation is required. All features can be fully used without an internet connection. We take user privacy very seriously and guarantee that we will never collect, store or share any user information.

2. Information Collection Statement

We do NOT collect any personal information or usage data from users.

  • No personal identifiable information such as name, phone number, email address or identity documents is collected.
  • No device information including device model, system version, device ID and network status is actively acquired.
  • We do not record operation logs, usage history or user behavior data.
  • The App runs entirely offline. All data processing is completed locally on your device, and no data will be uploaded to any external server.

3. Application Permissions

The App only requests essential permissions to maintain normal operation. All permissions are used locally only and no related data will be transmitted externally.

  • The App will not request access to sensitive permissions such as contacts, photos, files, location, camera and microphone without reasonable cause.
  • All granted permissions are only for supporting basic functions, and will never be used for data collection, advertisement delivery or sharing data with third parties.

4. Third-Party Services

JapaneseKana does not integrate any third-party analytics tools, advertising SDKs, tracking programs or social sharing components. No third party can obtain your information during use.

5. Local Data Storage

All cache and temporary data generated while using the App are stored only in your device’s local storage. You may clear the App cache or uninstall the App at any time to delete all relevant local data. We have no access to any data stored on your device.

6. Protection for Minors

We fully protect the privacy of minors. Since the App collects no user data at all, we will never obtain any personal information from children under 13 years old. We recommend that minors use this App under the supervision of guardians.
